Wiki / Ammo & Armor
Pick the right round
Every number here comes straight from our server configs. See how many chest hits each round needs to drop a target in each armor tier, and how much your own armor stops.
01
Armor has tiers
Vests and helmets come in tiers 1 to 5. The higher the tier, the less of each bullet gets through.
02
Damage vs plate shred
Damage hurts the target. Plate shred wears out their armor. Soft rounds hit hardest on flesh, AP rounds chew through plates.
03
Armor stops bleeding
A hit on a vest or helmet doesn't make you bleed. Bleed damage only matters on bare skin, arms and legs.
Ammo
Hits to drop
Target is wearing
Hits to drop: chest hits on a survivor or AI with 100 health, armor intact. Headshots kill faster. Fewer is better.
Armor
What your gear stops
| Tier | Bullet damage stopped | Shock stopped | Infected & melee stopped | Vest durability | Helmet durability |
|---|
Durability is how much punishment the armor takes before it's ruined. Heavy versions have 15% more.
